Booking & Pricing

How do I book a ride with Sky 1?

The easiest way to book is through the Request a Quote form on our Contact page. Simply share your trip details, service type, pickup location, destination, date, time, and group size, and we’ll respond promptly with pricing and availability.

You can also reach us directly by phone at +1 (415) 523-1446 or by email at info@sky1charter.com. We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How far in advance do I need to book?

For standard bookings, executive transfers, airport pickups, and similar, we recommend booking at least 24 to 48 hours in advance to ensure your preferred vehicle is available.

For larger engagements such as events, corporate programs, long distance charters, and shuttle programs, we recommend reaching out as early as possible, ideally several weeks ahead, so we can plan and coordinate properly. That said, we always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests. Call us and we’ll let you know what we can do.

How is pricing determined?

Pricing is based on the type of service (point-to-point transfer or hourly as-directed), vehicle type, and trip duration. All services have associated fees which will be applied. Submit a quote request and we’ll come back to you with clear, itemized pricing, no hidden fees, no surprise charges.

Do you charge extra for waiting time?

For airport transfers, we build a complimentary waiting period into every pickup, typically 30 minutes for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international arrivals, to account for baggage claim and customs. We track your flight in real time, so if it’s delayed, we adjust accordingly at no extra charge.

For as-directed and hourly engagements, waiting time is included within your booked hours. Any additional time beyond the booked period is billed in increments and agreed with you in advance.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfers, and corporate purchase orders for established accounts. Corporate clients may also be set up with monthly consolidated invoicing. Please ask about your preferred payment method when submitting your inquiry and we’ll accommodate where possible.

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms vary by vehicle type and service. For events and corporate programs, a 30-day cancellation term typically applies. Please contact us to learn more about the cancellation terms relevant to your booking.

Can I make changes to my bookings after it's confirmed?

Yes, we understand that plans change. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to adjust your pickup time, location, vehicle, or any other details. We’ll do everything we can to accommodate changes, subject to availability. For same-day changes, please call us directly at +1 (415) 523-1446 for the fastest response.

Is gratuity included in the price?

Gratuity is not automatically included in our quoted prices. It is entirely at your discretion. If you wish to add gratuity for exceptional service, you’re welcome to do so directly with the chauffeur or request it be added to your invoice. Our chauffeurs are professionals, they’ll never solicit or expect gratuity, but it is always appreciated.

Yes, all airport pickups include real-time flight tracking. We monitor your flight from departure through landing and adjust your chauffeur’s schedule automatically for delays, early arrivals, and gate changes. Your driver will always be there when you actually land, not just when you were scheduled to.

Do you accommodate large groups for events?

Absolutely. We are experienced in large-scale event logistics, managing fleets of vehicles across multiple pickup points, coordinating staggered arrivals and departures, handling VIP guests separately, and working directly with event producers and operations teams.

We’ve supported conferences, galas, corporate off-sites, sports events, music festivals, and private celebrations of all sizes. Contact us with your event details and we’ll put together a full transportation plan.

Do you offer wine country tours?

Yes, we offer fully private, chauffeured wine country tours in Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Tours are entirely private to your group, flexible in timing, and managed by a dedicated chauffeur who handles all the logistics so your group can focus entirely on the experience.

Whether you have a full itinerary planned or just a general direction in mind, we’ll work around you. Visit our Wine Tours page for full details.

Can you handle private aviation ground transfers?

Yes, private aviation ground coordination is one of our specialisms. We serve all major Bay Area FBOs including Signature Aviation – SFO, OAK & SJC · Atlantic Aviation – APC (Buchanan Field, Concord)

Our team is experienced in private terminal operations, tarmac-side positioning, full discretion for high-profile passengers, real-time flight monitoring, and luggage coordination. Visit our Private Aviation page for more detail.

Do you provide transportation for schools and universities?

Yes, we work with colleges, universities, and academic institutions across the Bay Area for athletic team travel, campus shuttles, field trips, graduation events, and academic excursions. All drivers assigned to educational engagements are thoroughly background-checked, and we provide full documentation on request to meet institutional compliance requirements.

A note on K-12 transportation: Transporting K-12 students for school-sponsored activities in California requires a special SPAB (School Pupil Activity Bus) certification. Sky 1 is currently working toward obtaining SPAB certification. In the meantime, we proudly serve colleges, universities, adult education programs, and private groups of all ages.

Can I book a recurring shuttle program?

Yes, shuttle programs are one of our core offerings. We design, launch, and manage recurring transportation programs for employee commuter shuttles, hotel guest services, airline crew rotations, and corporate campus routes. Programs are fully managed, dedicated vehicles, assigned drivers, on-time tracking, and monthly reporting. Contact us to discuss your requirements and we’ll put together a program proposal.

How often are vehicles inspected and maintained?

Every vehicle in our fleet follows a strict scheduled maintenance program, serviced, safety-checked, and cleared on a regular basis. In addition, each vehicle undergoes a pre-trip inspection before every engagement, cleaned, fueled, and reviewed by the assigned driver. We do not operate vehicles that haven’t passed both their scheduled maintenance and their pre-trip check.

What happens if a vehicle break down during my trip?

In the extremely rare event of a vehicle issue during a trip, our dispatch team activates a backup vehicle immediately. Safety & Standards

How are your drivers vetted?

Every Sky 1 chauffeur undergoes a thorough vetting process before representing the brand. This includes comprehensive background checks, DMV driving record reviews, drug screening, and professional conduct assessments. Drivers are also required to maintain a clean record throughout their time with us, not just at the point of hire.

For educational and institutional clients, we provide full documentation of driver credentials on request to meet compliance requirements.

Is Sky 1 fully licensed and insured?

Yes, Sky 1 operates with all required state, local, and regulatory licenses and permits. We carry comprehensive commercial liability insurance across our entire fleet. Certificates of insurance are available on request for corporate clients, event organizers, and institutional partners who require them for their own compliance and contracting processes.

How do your handle confidentiality for high-profile clients?

Discretion is built into everything we do. All passenger information, travel itineraries, and engagement details are handled with strict confidentiality, shared only with the team members directly involved in your trip. Our drivers are trained to operate with full professional discretion: no social media, no unnecessary communication, and no exceptions.

For clients who require formal confidentiality agreements, we are happy to accommodate NDAs and similar arrangements as part of the booking process.

Are you a member of any professional association?

Yes, Sky 1 Executive Transportation is a proud member of the American Bus Association (ABA) and the United Motorcoach Association (UMA). These memberships reflect our commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and service quality across our entire operation.

What if I need to reach someone during my trip?

Our dispatch team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays. If anything changes or you need assistance during your trip, you can reach us directly by phone at any time. For corporate accounts and event engagements, clients are given a dedicated dispatch contact number for direct, real-time communication throughout the journey.

Do your chauffeurs carry identification?

Yes. Every Sky 1 chauffeur is professionally dressed and carries identification. For airport meet & greet service, your chauffeur will be clearly identifiable, holding a name board in the arrivals area. If you are ever uncertain about your assigned driver, call us directly and we will verify immediately.

Corporate Accounts

How do corporate accounts work?

Corporate accounts are set up with your company’s preferred billing structure, approved riders, standing vehicle preferences, and any recurring instructions, so day-to-day booking is frictionless for your team.

Once your account is established, your EA, travel manager, or office administrator can book directly through our team with minimal back-and-forth. All trips are tracked, and you receive consolidated monthly invoicing with itemized trip records for expense processing.

Do you provide insurance certificate for corporate clients?

Yes, certificates of insurance, driver credentials, and other compliance documentation are available on request for corporate and institutional clients. Simply ask your account coordinator and we’ll provide everything your procurement, legal, or travel management team requires.

Can you support multiple employees or departments within one account?

Absolutely. Corporate accounts can be structured to accommodate multiple approved riders, cost centers, and departments, with reporting broken down accordingly for your finance or travel management team. We can also set up different booking authorization levels depending on your internal approval processes.

Do you work with executive assistants and travel managers directly?

Yes, this is one of our most common working relationships. EAs and travel managers are often the people booking, adjusting, and managing executive transportation on behalf of leadership. We make this as simple as possible, a single point of contact, responsive communication, standing preferences on file, and no unnecessary friction when plans change at the last minute.

Can Sky 1 extend our corporate program beyond California?

Yes, through our trusted global affiliate network, we can extend your corporate ground program to major U.S. cities including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Miami, Las Vegas, Seattle, Houston, Dallas, and Boston, as well as key international markets. Your account manager coordinates with our affiliates directly, so you always have a single point of contact regardless of where your team is travelling.

CATEGORY 06

Long Distance Charter

Which long distance charter routes do you operate?

We currently operate charter bus service on seven major routes departing from the Bay Area: San Francisco to Los Angeles, San Francisco to Las Vegas, San Francisco to San Diego, San Jose to Los Angeles, Sacramento to Los Angeles, San Francisco to Seattle, and San Francisco to Phoenix.

If your required route is not listed, contact us, we may be able to accommodate it through our partner network.

How are groups organized for long distance charter?

Groups are organized in increments of 10 passengers, from 10 up to 50. This helps us assign the right vehicle class for your group size and ensure everyone travels comfortably. When submitting your inquiry, simply let us know the approximate number of passengers and we’ll recommend the appropriate vehicle.

Why is pricing for long distance charter not listed on the website?

Long distance charter pricing varies significantly based on several factors: the specific route, your group size, travel date, day of week, whether the trip is one-way or return, and any special requirements such as overnight stops or multiple pickup locations. Publishing a fixed rate would not reflect what your trip actually costs.

We ask clients to inquire directly so we can give you an accurate, tailored quote built around your specific journey, not a generic estimate that may be significantly off.

Are overnight or multi-day charter options available?

Yes, for longer routes such as San Francisco to Seattle or San Francisco to Phoenix, overnight travel and multi-day charter options are available. These are fully coordinated including driver scheduling, rest stops, and any overnight logistics. Contact us with your travel dates and requirements and we’ll put together the right arrangement for your group.

Can we choose our pickup location for long distance trip?

Yes, we offer flexible pickup from your preferred Bay Area, San Jose, or Sacramento location. You are not required to travel to a fixed terminal or departure point. Let us know your preferred pickup address when submitting your inquiry and we’ll build it into your charter arrangement.
